Dr Blais sees children starting at age 4, yup age 4-5, to monitor growth and development and make sure there aren’t any oral habits that are interfering with proper boney development and tooth position. Early phase I’s are geared towards ensuring the foundation (ie the upper and lower jaws) are growing properly. Phase II (comprehensive braces or Invisalign) typically starts once all the adult teeth are erupted.

Adult orthodontics can be life-changing. Many times, it is done to ensure the success of a periodontal or prosthodontic procedure, like veneers or esthetic bonding. We provide a custom-fitted tray that slips over your teeth and a gel whitening product. Dr. Merissa Blais offers trays that can be worn with braces as well as trays that are used when your braces are removed. Wear the tray as prescribed by our orthodontist. Patients usually wear the tray for 15-20 minutes a day or at night for up to four weeks.
